Construction of Fiberglass Pocket Filter

Fiberglass pocket filter is a medium-to-high efficiency air filtration product professionally produced in standard pocket filter factory. Its overall construction consists of three core parts: outer rigid frame, multi-pocket fiberglass filter media and internal reinforcing accessories.

The outer frame is commonly made of lightweight aluminum alloy or anti-rust galvanized steel, featuring firm structure and easy installation. The core filtering part adopts high-density layered fiberglass media, which is stitched or thermally sealed into independent pocket shapes to expand filtration area greatly. Reinforcement strips and support grids are equipped inside each pocket to avoid deformation and sagging under strong airflow.

In formal pocket filter factory production, all seams are tightly sealed with special glue to prevent air leakage. This scientific construction ensures the filter owns large dust holding capacity, low air resistance, stable filtration efficiency up to F5-F9 grade, as well as excellent high temperature and corrosion resistance. It is widely assembled in air handling units for industrial ventilation, HVAC systems and clean space air purification.

Pocket Air Filter Comparison: Synthetic vs Fiberglass

For high-temperature or corrosive environments, fiberglass is superior. For cost-sensitive or moderate conditions, synthetic is more practical

Criteria Synthetic Bag Filters Fiberglass Bag Filters
Temperature Resistance Up to 150°C Up to 300°C
Chemical Resistance Moderate (acid/alkali) High (harsh chemicals)
Cost Efficiency Lower cost Higher initial cost
Recommended For General industrial applications High-temperature & harsh environments
